    Join as SFEIA members in 2019, we spearheaded a One-Stop Manufacturing Workshop to streamline and accelerate all manufacturing companies from the product development process to concept through manufactured products.

  • Annual General Meeting

    Annual General Meeting, the resolution was passed and we assumed the name “The Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Foundry Engineering Industries Association” until today.

    Year of 2003

  • Welcoming new members to join SFEIA

    It was resolved to delete the word “Chinese” and we adopted the name Selangor Foundry and Engineering Industries Association.

    Year of 1978

  • FOMFEIA was formed

    The Federation of Malaysia Foundry & Engineering Industries Association was formed to promote the unity of the members.

    Year of 1977

  • Joint Meeting of Selangor Foundry Club with SFEIA

    The Selangor foundry club and SFEIA inaugural joint meeting in and form the body known as SFEIA

    Year of 1947

  • SFEIA was formed

    In order to fulfill the needs of the association, Selangor Foundry Clun and the members then strived to form the Selangor Chinese Foundry and Engineering Industry Association (SFEIA)

    Year of 1946

  • Selangor foundry club was formed

    The Selangor Foundry Club was formed in 1935 to promote the understanding, of the relationship of the well-being of the profession. However, by the name of the association, it is not appropriate to represent the whole industry.

SMART AUTOMATION GRANT (SAG)

Propelling Industrial Digitalization

SAG is part of the RM100 million announced Under PENJANA


Launched on 2 December 2020, SAG will be given on a matching basis (1:1) based on eligible expenditures, up to a maximum grant of RM1 million per company. SMEs and mid- tier companies in the services sector are now able to kickstart their digital adoption journey and increase their digital capabilities to continue striving forward in this new norm. To automize and digitalize operations, production and trade channels.


To improve efficiency in the manufacturing and services sector.


To reduce reliance on low-skilled foreign workers.


To enhance SMEs competitiveness at international level.

SAG eligibility criteria

Interested applicants are required to meet the following criteria below:

smart automation grant
  1. Incorporated under the Companies Act, 1965/ 2016.
  2. Malaysian owned (at least 51%).
  3. Possesses a valid Business License.
  4. The company must engage in the following activities:
    • Manufacturing activity in compliance with the Industrial Co-ordination Act, 1975; or
    • Services activities which must be regulated by specific acts/ regulations or governed by relevant ministries/ agencies.
  5. Eligible for SMEs and MTCs only.
  6. In operation for at least 12 months.
  7. Meet at least one of the Committed Deliverables (see more below)
